    3. The following are marriage records from Hardeman Co. Newton, J.S. Moody, Mattie E. Apr 1869 Newton, J.S. Finger, M.A. Apr 1880 Newton, L.B. Hammons, Willie Jan 1924 Newton, Leo B. Prince, Sibyl Mar 1941 Newton, O.S. Fortune, M.R. Dec 1899 Newton, Richard Shearin, Roberta Jan 1916 Newton, Robert Lee Shearin, willie Sep 1915 Newton, Thomas Freeman, Nora Apr 1921 Newton, W.H. Duncan, S.J. Mrs. Jan 1867 Newton, William H. Lea, Hester Jan 1824 The J.S. Newton is my husband's maternal gr-grandfather. His first wife, Mattie, is not the mother of our grandmother. Madora Ann Finger, his second wife is. We think that William H. Newton who married Lea Hester in 1824 in Hardeman Co. might have been Jeff S. Newton's parents, but I haven't documented that. The other Newtons listed are all sons of J.S. Newton. Hope this helps you in your pursuit of Newtons in Hardeman Co., Tenn. 3. Hi Linda, I was hoping some Newton family had a daughter named (Rebecca or Nancy) who married a Wm H McBee- I know there was an Ebenezer Newton Family in Hardeman Co., in the 1830 Census. Thanks for the info.
