    3. Bryan, I descend from Larkin Newton, through his son Thomas L. Newton and Thomas' daughter Nettie May Newton. I will gladly share any or all of what I have on his family and descendants if you are interested. I have no pictures of him, but I do have pictures of some of his granddaughters and of the log cabin he built in 1848 near Midlothian in Ellis County, Texas. The logs are cut in a half-dovetail corner notch design. I also have a copy of Larkin's military records and discharge paper as a third sergeant in Capt. George Barnes' Company of the 2nd Division of the Tennessee Militia, dated May 18, 1815, from the National Archives. He fought with Andrew Jackson in The Battle of New Orleans. Just let me know if you are interested in Larkin's line and what you would want from me. Do you have a target date for publication?
