Hi Folks, There is a DNA match between two Newton men who appear to have familial relationship(s) with subject line groups. The first appears to descend from William Newton who married Jane Farrar. This William of St. James Parish, Mecklenburg County, Virginia, previously Lunenburg County. This family sometimes claimed to descend from Henry Newton of Essex County, Virginia, who died in St. Anne's Parish in 1713. More information about this group can be found here: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=PED&db=krauss&id=I01219&style=TABLE The second appears to descend from Robert H. Newton who married Martha Carlton Rowe. More information on this group can be found here: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=jryden&id=I164 These groups comprise NEWTON DNA "Node 'I'". I will update the Project's webpages to reflect the explicit descents of the two men who donated their DNA to the cause when I get consent from them to do so. Would be interested in the two men who match with the Newton's in the counties mentioned. Are they of my line? John Newton and wife Mary (Mitchell) Newton of South Carolina? Gay, According to the DNA of those two Newton's (on Node I), they are not even a close relationship to the Newton/Mitchell family (Node T). Gregg Bonner may be able to offer further insight. cheers, Greg Newton Houston, Texas ----- Original Message ----- From: "LYNDON NIX" <warpaint1128@sbcglobal.net> To: <newton@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 11, 2010 11:29 AM Subject: Re: [NEWTON] DNA v.49 NEWTONs of St. James Parish (VA) & Robert H.Newton (m.
