    3. Big news in my family search, Gregg, I learned this week I'm not related to Israel Newton in Mo. but instead Abraham Jr. in Henry Co. Tennessee. There are two William C Newtons listed. One connected with Israel and the other is mine. The william C connected to Israel died in Mo, my William C. lived on in Kansas. Does that change anything in your study? 3. Hi Merle, Because you are the only one of "your" line tested, and you don't have any perfect matches yet, it won't really change your results, because the genetic distance to other groups didn't change. However, it may change the interpretation of whether/which two families are related. For example, Robert M. Newton (#46029) claims descent from an Isaac Newton (1735-1790), and he matches you pretty close. So one could now think that perhaps this Isaac Newton's family is *perhaps* related to the Abraham Newton of Henry County you mention, rather that to the family of Israel Newton. Of course we would need a bona fide sample from Israel's descendants to rule that out for sure. Could you send me privately your revised claimed descent, so that I can update/revise the project's data table and your page at the project? 3. How should I send you the updated list? Thanks. I've corresponded with Robert Newton and he feels that we indeed are closely related. 2. I am looking for a male Newton who married a Louisa/Louise/Liza her last name unknown. I know they had a daughter, Margaret Anna who went by Anna, Peggy and Margaret. She was born June 23 1845 in, I think, Waynesburg, Lincoln Co. Ky. The father died soon after her birth. Louise/Liza was born Feb 1834 in Tennessee and I think her parents came from Ireland, based on a census record. I checked 1840 and 1850 Lincoln Co., KY for Newtons and found nothing. Any suggestions? -----Original Message----- From: Merle Newton <merlenewton@mac.com> To: newton@rootsweb.com Sent: Sat, May 8, 2010 10:52 pm Subject: Re: [NEWTON] DNA Vol.48: Sheffield/Matthew Newton (RI/CT) How should I send you the updated list? 3. So the mother Louisa/Louise/Liza was born Feb 1834 had a daughter, Margaret Anna who went by Anna, Peggy and Margaret. She was born June 23 1845? Seems a little young even in Kentucky, ha.... ----- Original Message ----- From: <bhurst1948@aol.com> To: <newton@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, May 09, 2010 1:55 AM Subject: [NEWTON] Newton's > > I am looking for a male Newton who married a Louisa/Louise/Liza her last > name unknown. > I know they had a daughter, Margaret Anna who went by Anna, Peggy and > Margaret.
