    3. Linda, I'm of no help on this line. I spent five years researching Richard's ancestry based on a fraudualant work by a professional genealogist. I try to avoid looking at it. I'm sorry I can't help you. Eric On Mon, 8 Jan 2001, Linda M. May wrote: > Has anyone been able to unravel this NEWTON puzzle: > > I am descended from Moses Newton (b.1646, MA) and Joanna Larkin. Taylor age 27 lives with them he is a school teacher #1008 is Booler Barfield family and #1011 down the road is Jeptha McGamery? Now I have made contact with a Shirah Cousin in Florida and have got from him photos of some of these people now and documents. Daniel Jeptha Newton son of Daniel and Elizabeth married Roseanne Barfield in Macon Co. GA and this is on file in the courthouse there. Daniel Jeptha Newton named a son James Wesley Newton and he named his son Nathan Wesley Newton It is believed by some that the older Daniel may have been a son of another Daniel as well. Also with the name Jeptha being used in the Newton line prior to Daniel and Roseann marrying each other this could mean that the older Daniel or his Father one may have been kin to the Aldermans who are found listed in the book the Alderman's of North America, in this book is a chapter about the Newtons who join that family line. In that line of Newton the names James, Daniel and Jeptha are used also. Hope this is of some help and if you feel or find that this is your Martha please let me know. Gail
