My John Newton and Mary had Henry, Isaac and William and some girls. John moved to Newberry Co,S.C.and Edgefield co, S.C. Him and his son Isaac went back to Va in Aug 1796 to see his brother. John came home and Isaac wanted to stay to see that part of the country, so he stayed. John told his brother to look after him. Isaac said he lived in a settlment where he found his wife in 1799. The 18th day of June 1812 he was drafted at Bowling Green, Caroline Co, Va. So I don't know if John visited in Caroline County or some where else in Va. But we do know he had a brother back in Va he visited. Isaac came back to S.C. and bought Henry's land who was moving to Hall Co, Ga. Isaac married Sarah Spicer Aug 15, 1800. >From the Travel and Religious Experience Of Isaac Newton. Signed by Isaac Newton. Written when he was 80 years old, June 1856. Would like to know your family. Hope this helps. Gay Nix

    3. Juanita, This is not in my family to my knowledge, but I accumulated this material when searching Connecticut for mine. Looks like the names you are looking for. Thomas Newton was imprisoned, it seems, because he had an affair with Elizabeth Johnson. Benoni was the product of that affair. Thomas escaped prison in CT and left for Long Island, where Benoni also settled. My research has a New England death of indeterminate date. Didn't know he moved down to Barbados. 2. Lisa, I don't personally have anything on your Newton, but there were several Williams in our line. Try asking Kathy Newton of Michigan. We are researching the same Newton lines and she has several extended cousins lines also. She may just have something from one of them on this William Issac. Her email address is: [email protected] I hope she can help. Let me know whether she does or not and I will try to run something down with a few of the other researchers for you if she doesn't. Sincerly, Pat Newton, Brown Lakeland, Fl. P.S. Kathy and her hubby are self employed, so she may not be able to get back with you right away. This is their busiest season there. Give her a few days.
