Here goes nothing... Hello everyone! I am real new to this so please forgive my mistakes. Rose is going to be my mentor. I hope she likes a challenge because I have no clue of what I am doing. Surnames and a little family history - little because thats all I know! DUGAN - CUPP - ISAACSONS - NIKKLA - CHAMBERLAIN Earl Francis DUGAN,1912, lived his entire life in Cambria County PA. His wife Hilma Marie ISAACSONS,1910, her family was from Fayette City PA. It seems everyone knew Earl as Skinny and Hilmia as Mary. They lived on the Cambria County Fairgrounds for many years. Earl worked in coal mines all his life and died from black lung. Mary worked as school bus driver and waitress at the Dairy Dell in Ebensburg. Edward DUGAN was Earl's father. Not much is know about him. I found him in the 1920 census. Wife Katherine CUPP DUGAN,age 42, Children Theodore,17, Rosey,9, Earl,7, and Leonard age,18, I believe Leonard was 18 months old. They were living in Cambria County, Cambria Township. 1910 census has them listed in Cambria, South Fork PA. But this time, Edward DUGAN is listed as 32, Catherine,33(This is also spelling change for Catherine), Annie Rusick,16, John,17, Mary,14, Elizabeth,13, Theodore Rusick,05, Rosey, NR, and a Son-In-Law named Vincent from Austria. *** I'm not sure what the Rusick means ?*** Issac Emil ISAACSONS,1874,was Hilma's father her mother was Hilma Josephine NIKKLA Isaacsons,1880,. They both were marreid in Fayette City in 1899. I believe Isaac to have come from Finland. This is all the information I have so far Catherine CUPP and her family are a complete mystery. Family lore says she was married to a George CHAMBERLAIN. Mr. Chamberlain was supposedly killed in a railroad accident. They had the following children, John, Lizze, Mary,Blanche Russick(There is that name again) and Jennie. Now ... everyone on the list knows pretty much as much as I do about my family. I have scheduled a trip to Cambria County, Ebensburg PA for the first week of August. Any suggetstions or help ... I need them all!
