I recommend this site for southeastern U.S. maps http://maplibrary.ua.edu/full%20atlas%20page.htm. I have found it most helpful. If you go to the Georgia map collection and look at the 14th (Anthony Finley's 1823 map) and 15th (1833, Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge) maps, you will see the area that would be the Cherokee purchase.
