Just want to thank everyone for coming to my rescue with my "problem" of double dating. I have it resolved. I now wonder if anyone can tell me why people renamed their child the name of a former child that had died. In one of my family lines there was a daughter they named Deborah born in 1711 and she died that year, then they had a daughter in 1721 and named her Deborah. The same family had a son in 1720 named Samuel and he died the end of December 1724, meanwhile they had a son the beginning of December 1724 and named him Samuel. I just would never name two of my children the same name even if one had died. Kathy Palmer
