    2. Hello Roy.... Tell your friend in Iowa that I'm not a little old lady and I would have had trouble with that ballot. They've been discontinued in other states be cause lots of people have trouble with it ...and....taking cheap shots at little old ladies instead of the man who was afraid to let their votes be counted is tacky in the extreme and beneath contempt. By the way...I recently found out that I have roots in Yorkshire.....a Sheriff, in fact Robert Wright (1458-1501) of Plowland in Holderness, Yorkshire He was also an ancestor to President George Washington...a gentleman who never had to railroad an election in his life...nor would he. Shame on your friend, malinda jones Roy Stockdill wrote: > MY favourite comment on the whole farrago came from an e-mail chum of mine > in Iowa. > > He observed that the entire constitution of the US had been thrown into > total disarray by a bunch of blue-rinsed little old ladies who normally > have no trouble whatsoever in running 15 bingo cards simultaneously but > couldn't cope with punching one hole in a ballot paper! > > Roy Stockdill > Editor, The Journal of One-Name Studies > The Stockdill Family History Society (Guild of One-Name Studies, FedFHS) > STOCKDILL PREST YELLOW BOLTON WORSNOP > GIBSON MIDGLEY BRACEWELL SHACKLETON BRADLEY MOODY in Yorkshire North & > West Ridings > MEAD YOUNG in Somerset, Wiltshire & Gloucestershire > Web page of the Stockdill Family History Society:- > http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/roystock > Web page of the Guild of One-Name Studies:- http://www.one-name.org > ”Never ask a man if he comes from Yorkshire.
