One of my most stubborn most wanted. CHARLOTTE JEANETTE (NETTIE) JAMES is in the 1870 NV, Virginia City census. She died three years later according to several letters. I have been unable to find any record of her death or burial. There should have been an obit in the Territorial Enterprise as her husband was prominent in the town. The rest of the family is in the 1880 census so they didn't move. Just to give encouragement......I have been stuck for years trying to find parents of JOHN BATES and ISABELLA (HARTFORD) BATES. I recently got an answer to a query I had put on a message board well over a year ago. The connection looks good and I hope to have the information I need very soon. BTW, this query was not on a surname board but a locality board. So keep posting your queries....you never know when some "kissin' cousin" will find it. Joanne
