You stated that you already have Acrobat 4.0. Check to be sure that you have run the install process for the Adobe Acrobat. If you are using Netscape Navigator 4.7x, the Acrobat reader will automatically be configured to run with that browser after you run the install. If you ever update to a new version of Netscape, you will have to re-run the install program for Adobe to get it to recognize the new version. If you are using Microsoft, I believe the same scenario applies. I am a Netscape user, but have Microsoft installed to use for testing things like this. I tried the site and the files in both browsers and found they both launched Adobe just fine. However, in both browsers I had an error message appear about a javascript problem. This is something wrong on the web site you are visiting. Do the following: 1. Install Adobe Acrobat (or confirm that you have already installed it). 2. Boot your computer, dialup again. 3. Try reading one of the PDF files on that site. 4. If that doesn't work, try a PDF file on a completely different site and determine if you still have problems (try this site: http://www.ancestrycorner.com/forms/what1890census.pdf). If still a problem, I'm not sure what to tell you. If no problems at the second site I think it is safe to assume a problem exists on the first site. 5. It never hurts to download and install the latest versions of your web browser.
