This is titled The New-England magazine but what's listed below includes Georgia, the Pawnee Indians and deaths/obituaries from many places. Many links are like that including the GenWeb and GenNet websites. If you don't check, you miss out. This is a real hodge-podge but fascinating. The news items are from 1831. The first one concerns white people on the Cherokee Lands in Georgia. The second one (same link) is about small pox in a tribe in the Pawnee Nation which pretty much destroyed the tribe. The rest of the links are from the same magazine, and are deaths and obituaries listed in November and December of 1831. The last death links are from 1797, don't know the journal issue. There is no rhyme or reason to the listings. You have to wade through everything but a lot of the people were in the Revolutionary War and it lists their rating and if a widow, it lists their husbands rating. Sometimes, it lists their service history. Please note that there is another "New England Magazine" listed that is an industrial magazine so make sure you put a hyphen in the name: "The New-England magazine" if you do a search. This is from the Making of America website at Cornell University. It's strange, because normally the Making of America website at the University of Michigan has more New England items.
