So many of the family there are now Southern Baptist, I would never have thought about Quaker records. It's definitely worth a try. Also, thanks for telling me about the list for caregivers. 2. Thanks to the information dispersed by this list I deleted an email with an attachment carrying the Hahaha Snow White and Seven Dwarf (or whatever) virus a few minutes ago. I recognized the subject line as the one that goes with the virus and deleted it thereby avoiding having my computer system infected by it. Thanks List! This makes at least three times that the NEWGEN list has helped me recognize the virus before I opened the attachment! Barbara V.

    2. Sue Ellen Ash
    3. HI Donna, Good to have you back on the list. The SMITH lineage can be very difficult to track. I lucked out with my SMITH line, (mother was a SMITH) they happened to have been Quakers from Bucks county PA, all documented in the church records. I dont know if you have looked in Quaker records in the south, but a lot of the SMITH of Bucks county did move south into Georgia, Carolinas and beyond. Its like hunting a needle in a haystack for sure, but might be worth a shot. Thinking of you with your homecare for your husband. I noticed a new list at Rootsweb for homecare takers. It might be a good place for support in these days for you. 1. [NEWGEN] new family
    2. Donna Brock
    3. I thought I'd take advantadge of my husband sleeping late this morning, and let everyone know about the names that I added to my family, while we visited in GA. Before we left I only knew that my grt.grandfather was Henry SMITH. I now know that his middle initial is L, and that instead of being born in GA, he was most likely born in the area of Lake City, FL. I'm guessing that he was born around 1850-60. I do, however, now know that my grt.grandmother, Mildred Herring, was born in 1860 in the area of Pearson, GA, and she was the daughter of Hiram HERRIN and Martha WILLIAMS. Hiram HERRIN>Levi HERRIN Charity SEARS Martha WILLIAMS>John WILLIAMS Nancy SMITH>Rev.Williams Mary PLATT I was a little dismayed to find another Smith in my line. That name is sure giving me trouble. We met a really nice couple in Fitzgerald, GA while we there, and wound up staying in their home. It was really interesting. Their last name is Davis, and I mentioned that my dad used to farm with someone in Pearson, GA, named Harley Davis, and that my parents lived in a house on the Harley Davis property. Found out that Billy Davis, where we stayed, and Harley Davis are cousins, and that when my parents moved out of the house on the Davis property, Billy and his parents moved into it. It really is a small world. It would really be nice to find out that some of you are related. I would really appreciate any help that you can give me. Especially on my SMITH line. Hope everyone has a wonderful day! Donna

    2. Hello Roy.... Tell your friend in Iowa that I'm not a little old lady and I would have had trouble with that ballot. They've been discontinued in other states be cause lots of people have trouble with it ...and....taking cheap shots at little old ladies instead of the man who was afraid to let their votes be counted is tacky in the extreme and beneath contempt. By the way...I recently found out that I have roots in Yorkshire.....a Sheriff, in fact Robert Wright (1458-1501) of Plowland in Holderness, Yorkshire He was also an ancestor to President George Washington...a gentleman who never had to railroad an election in his life...nor would he.
