Here is one I forgot RANEY, Sarah married Peter Dailey possibly in 1869 in Union County KY. I have marriage papers but do not know if this is the same couple as my great grandparents because, according to the papers, she was a Mrs. at the time of her marriage. She may have been an EARLY because that surname was said to be (by my mother) one of her grandmothers' maiden names. It was also the middle name of one of my uncles. She came from Great Britain as did my grandfather Peter Dailey...this could be Ireland, Scotland or England. They lived in Cannelton/Tell City, IN. in the latter part of the 1800's. That is Perry County, IN. Thanks, Ann

Steve, Thank you for trying to help. I found something that looked like a battery.....but it won't pop out, so off to the computer "fix it" store or the Society will have to set the date everytime they boot up. Or they can just leave the unit on all the time. Gloria jgmott@wcoil.com

I have learned that at least one Listmember has received a midi attachment from me which I did not send, so I may be infected. The only problem is that she cannot get it to stop playing the tune. I have scanned my files twice and nothing is showing up, but if you do get an attachment to mail from me, do not open it until you contact me first. I'm sorry I deleted your e mail, but I just happened to think of something. If you're using IE go to the settings button after going into internet options and make sure every visit to the page is selected and not never.
The battery will be located on the motherboard of the PC. It could be a small blue cylinder about half the size of a AA battery. They are sometimes soldered on which makes it very hard to change. Some people I know have just cut the old battery and fixed a new modern type to the motherboard. Normally they are located on the edge of the motherboard. Newer machines have the small flat batteries like they use in calculators and they are very easy to replace. Hope this helps Steve -----Original Message----- From: jgmott [mailto:jgmott@wcoil.com] Sent: Saturday, 9 December 2000 3:02 AM To: NEWGEN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [NEWGEN] Re: [ Help with pc-Dr. Bill Thank you for that info<G> I will now check the inside not the outside. 1) Are the recognized sources readily available to everyone? 2) Would the data be helpful even if NOT in the manner accumulated and presented by the person who is publishing. If so I think you can reveal the location and let the person here find the data him/her self. This is so true. I had a couple e-mail me about a month ago that had seen something I had posted more than a year ago on my maiden name and related names. I had all but given up on finding anything at all. It turned out that this man's father was my fathers stepbrother. I have not only found new cousins and formed a close lasting realationship with them but we have helped each other with an exchange of information. So it does pay to post your names.
