Loree, I have a Patrick Elmer McLaughlin b. abt 1779 in Strabane, Tyrone, N. Ireland; d. July 23, 1876 in Bocabec, Charlotte, N.B., Canada. He m. 1. Eliz. White b. in New Glasgow, N.S., Canada. He m. 2. Margaret Strachan in 1819 in Cornwallis, N.S. They had at least 7 children incl James b. abt 1824 who m. Elizabeth Milligan. There is a serious "McLaughlin" researcher in Saint John, N.B. - Mary McDermott who works at the Diocese of Saint John Research Centre, Saint John, N.B. I'm sure she would have the info you are looking for.
