    3. The town of Salmon River disappeared in 1926 when the sawmill closed down. Many of the homes were dismantled and floated to new locations, some being in New England. At the time, it consisted of 26 buildings. A painting of it is at the Quaco Museum in St. Martins. Today, the only building there is the new one that is the Vistors Centre for the Fundy Trail.
