Hello Marilyn, John William Stewart & Jane Reed, both of Simonds Parish, Carleton County, were married December 24, 1868 in Carleton County. In 1871, they are in Wilmot Parish. John is age 30. Jane is age 23, and one child, Howard, is 1 year old. I checked the 1851 census, but could not find a John Stewart who was about 10 years old. Reed was a common name, and Jane even more so.
