George William Davison AMHERST, NS - Davison, George William, aged 77 years of Fernwood Drive, Amherst, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2007 in the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Nappan, NS. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late George William and Elsie (Ingram) Davison. George took great pride in having worked for the A.V. ROE Company on the construction of the AVRO Arrow aircraft during the 1950's. He was a member of the Amherst Senior Citizens, enjoyed all sports, playing darts, bowling, and especially spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; son, Paul (Audrey) Davison of Dartmouth; and daughter, Nancy (Douglas) MacKay of Fort St. John, B.C.; step-sons, James (Marlene) Trenholm of Sackville, N.B. and Randy Trenholm of Port Elgin, N.B.; step-daughters, Debbie (Douglas) Gray of Rothesay, N.B., Natalie (Darrell) Munro of Bedford, and Janice (Richard) Briggs of Grandfalls, N.B.; 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brother, Garth (Betty) Davison of Brampton, Ont.; Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Roberta Ingalls; son, George William; sister, Jean Henwood. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 26, 2007 in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, with the Reverend Allan Griffin officiating. Burial in Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin, N.B. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
