I have been going through old newspapers and trying to determine who had been buried in this cemetery. In Albert County the surname Obourne (Osborne) are very seldom found in the cemeteries for some unknown reason, However there are a few with the surname Bazley, but Lillie R. is not mentioned. A few of the obits that I found which are not found in David Christopher's cemetery book who are buried in Baltimore Cemetery, Albert County, New Brunswick are: Josephine Shaw 1913 - David Steeves 1947 - Caroline Milton 1928 - Harold Edgett, 1921 - Harold Turner, 1919 - Mrs. Ezekiel Hopper, 1913, Alice Shaw, 1911, Ruth Steeves 1924 & George Irving 1921. Thank you Carolyn for the answer, for some reason I thought that David was a Bazzley/Bazley didn't read it right. At this time I'm after the Bazley family information. Many of the Bazley line married into the Steeves line like my 2nd great grandmother Mary Jane (Jannie or Jennie) Steeves nee Bazley who married Elias Keith Steeves. I still believe she remarried a John Steeves after the death of Elias, it is the only explanation for the listing on my great grandmother's marriage and death record. Nora Fraser nee Steeves signed her marriage record giving the name of John as her father, her sister Maude Lord nee Steeves signed her death record again giving the father as John Steeves. Nora was young when Elias died and Jannie Bazley listed as Nora's mother on the marriage and Jennie Bazley listed as Nora's mother on her death record given by Maude (maiden name used) and Mary Jane was pregnant with Maude when Elias died. In the 1881 census she is a widow so did she remarry right after this? Who is the John Steeves they keep mentioning? And yes I've written many times to the Steeves who never answer. I've to cousins in Canada also from the Steeves lines who have started on the Bazley lines and wondered why they about disappear in the latter census but have found many of them in the MA vitals so guess they came to the states where the original William D. Bazzley 1st came from but he was from New York not MA. In the 1851 census he is of German descent his wife Alice from Nova Scotia of Irish descent but the later ones they are listed as English and one "Z" is dropped. Wanda: David Warren Steeves born 1 Sept. 1857 died 1 May 1947. He was married to Caroline Amelia Milton born 14 Aug. 1858, Baltimore, Albert County, NB and died 8 Dec. 1928, Salem, Albert County, NB. They were married 14 September 1881. Both David and Caroline are buried in Baltimore Baptist Cemetery. It would appear that David is the s/o Edward & Mary (Stewart) Steeves as from his obit it states that he has one living sister Mrs. Jessie Mitchell whom would be Laura Steeves who was born ca 1866 and married Mr. Mitchell.
