    3. In researching my ROBBINS family of Deer Isle, Hancock Co, ME, I have found several references to some moving to and / or residing in the Canpobello area of NB and eastern Washington Co, ME in the Lubec and other areas. Since many were fishermen and seafarers, it seems likely that much of the movement was likely by sea, especially the moves of longer distances. If you know of any ROBBINS births, marriages, deaths in coastal / eastern Washington Co, ME and /or the Campobrllo area of NB, please share them with me. I believe my GGG gf, James ROBBINS abt 1770 ? - ??, lived Campobello during at least part of his life and had ch who lived there and in areas of eastern Washington Co, ME. Who were his parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins ? How were these eastern ME ROBBINS' related to one another ? My G gf, Joseph Sullivan ROBBINS 1851 - 1938, said an aunt m a KEEFE and I found an 1826 Lubec marriage for Mary ROBBINS and Thomas KEEFE who were in the 1850 Lubec, ME Census as "KEITH." Another aunt was said to have mar a NUTTER. I am trying to determine how these far eastern ME - NB ROBBINS families may be related to other ROBBINS families along the coast west to Deer Isle, Vinalhaven, and the Rockland / Thomaston area of Maine. Most grateful for any additions, corrections, help in compiling these ROBBINS families. Janice ROBBINS FREEMAN

    3. Janice, These records may not be early enough for your family but there is a website that might be of interest since your ROBBINS had been fishermen - History of Nova Scotia http://www.littletechshoppe.com/ns1625/nshist66.html This site has archived Sheevaun Nelson's www.lostatsea.ca (just found archived docs but can't find original website) and Roberta Sheedy's website www.downtosea.com (website still active) Both of these websites are dedicated to the men who died at sea; names ships, crew, etc. Shirley ----- Original Message ----- From: "Janice R Freeman" <snibbor13@juno.com> To: <NEWBRUNSWICK@rootsweb.com> Cc: <snibbor13@juno.com> Sent: Friday, April 20, 2007 4:59 AM Subject: [ NB ] ROBBINS Maine - NB 1750 - 1800's > > In researching my ROBBINS family of Deer Isle, Hancock Co, > ME, I have found several references to some moving to and / or > residing in the Canpobello area of NB and eastern Washington Co, > ME in the Lubec and other areas.
