    3. This is a great thread. I was horrified at some of the false genealogical information in the series that is published as fact, although I am in one of the reference books on Curries as 10 years younger.... Is there a way to more formally let people know it is full of holes? One could waste a lot of time being mislead there, and I cant imagine the site owners want to do that. 3. Hello List When I offered up the link to First Families, I had no idea so many folks were unaware of the site. As with all genealogies, no one *intends* to put out erroneous information; it is simply the information found by the author with what resources they had at hand at the time of the writing. The undertaking of First Families was just enormous, and provides threads to our own first families, which may be verified with the availability of today's information. One oft cited source at First Families is Wiggins "History of Queens County". There are two versions available today. The original one as published in 1876 and the updated one. In many surname instances, they are not one and the same. So someone updated it with new information that *they* found, which, again, may or may not be accurate or complete. First Families indicates they will accept new offerings, which they will include at their next update, which isn't very often. I would hope that these new offerings would contain the notation that they are *new* (date of submission), so that folks scrolling through their surname of interest will know that. Although some researchers will just copy something like this, most will want to verify it through other avenues. All that First Families can do is publish what they have amassed. I am grateful to them for such a huge undertaking. First Families is just one of many sources that are available. We all should know that seeing something in print doesn't make it accurate or complete, and it simply provides a thread to look for further information.
