Hello! I am a member of the Kings County Historical & Archival Society, Inc., and am doing some advertising for them. One of our members, David G. Keirstead, has donated his latest book, "Hampton Consolidated School, A Story Worth Telling", to the society as a fund raiser. The book will be sold at the Kings County Museum, 27 Centennial Road, Hampton, N. B., on Saturday, May 5th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., as the supply lasts. The cost of the book will be $30.00 (cheque or cash). The book covers the period from the first meeting in 1904 to consider "consolidation" to the fire in March, 1981, which destroyed the building. Within its 368 pages are stories which will bring back memories, or supply new facts. The 129 photos will delight many. The school opened on August 26th, 1907. The book was written to mark this centenary, and to mark the 50th anniversary of the author's graduation from the school in 1957 - the last class to graduate from the "old" school before the annex was constructed. We are attempting to spread the word of the sale of this book far and wide, in hopes of informing as many interested people as possible, and thus raise funds for the operation our museum. If you have any questions, please contact me by email, or (506)832-7244. Thank you! Nancy Meech, Hampton, N. B.
