I am looking for information of a Maude or Maud nee Matthews CONRAD She was born late 1880s or early 1890s in Burgeo, Newfoundland. Daughter of Hugh MATTHEWS and Deborah CAINES. All I have is she settled in New Brunswick and married a CONRAD. In her brother's 1972 obituary, she is listed as Mrs. Jessie Conrad. Not sure if Jessie was her husband or a nick name for her. Not that I'd EVER swear by LDS records, but the following was listed, which appears to be same Hugh, but a different Deborah (whose MOTHER was a "CAINES"): LDS: Hugh Matthews, b. @1860, Lower Burgeo, m. 23-Nov-1882, same loc. to a Deborah Davidge. Deborah b. @1884, d/o William Davidge and Caroline Caines. Perhaps a father or uncle, Hugh, b. @1818, ditto, s/o John Matthews and Sarah "Bagg".
