Looking for any information on the Bazzley / Bazley families of Hillsborough, Albert, NB what happened to them. In the 1851 census it was spelled Bazzley children of William Donaldson Bazzley b: abt. 1778 NY which I'm assuming means NY since he was a loyalist and married Alice Henaby Crossman b: abt: 1784 Nova Scotia. In this census it states William is of German descent and Alice of Irish in the next census the name has changed to Bazley and it states of English descent. Children that I've found are William Donaldson Bazzley 2nd b: 1812 married Elizabeth Steeves daughter of Samuel and Ann (Jones) Steeves, John Bazzley b: 1815 married Mary Ann? Jane Bazzley b: 1821 and David Bazzley b: 1820 married Margaret ? b: 1825 NS. David and Margaret are the couple I'm most interested in and their children. Any information on Margaret's maiden name and who her parents were? David died 20 Feb 1889 buried Beech Hill, Margaret died 21 Mar 1913 assume she is buried same? Can not find her in the latter census either. Though I would like to know of any of their children am most interested in their daughter Mary Jane Bazley known as (Jannie) b: 1846 she marries 24 Feb 1866 to Elias Keith Steeves which we have his birth and death date but no death date on "Jannie" Mary Jane (Bazley) Steeves. Their daughter Nora Steeves who marries David Fraser b: 15 Jul 1867 Nova Scotia are my great grandparents. Nora b: 10 Mar 1871 Hillsborough, NB married 15 Jun 1892 Cambridge, Middlesex, MA (not Salem) what is really weird on both Nora's marriage and death record it states her father is John Steeves. We could understand Nora's sister Maude making this mistake since she filled out the Nora's death record and Jannie was pregnant with Maude when Elias died. But why would Nora add John as her father on her marriage record, did Mary Jane remarry a John Steeves?
