Rose, Though I can not answer definitively, I know of at least one (once thought to be in MY lines) couple from that timeframe/location, where the wife was only 15 at time of marriage (whether it required consent or not, of that I'm not sure). The couple did live with HIS parents for a couple of years after they were married, and he was 11 years her senior... Would SEEM either that her parents were disinterested, or may not have been living... never was able to locate her ancestry.
