    3. Hi Sara, May I suggest you include the name(s) of the person(s) you are seeking. Looking at yours (following), I must write you and ask: "Who are you looking for?) You write back and say: "John Smith." I then write back and say: "Sorry, no John." That adds up to 3 needless messages. Unless it's a secret, let people know who you want help with. How can they help if they don't know your "target?" Another suggestion - put the name in the subject line, along with a date (or approx. date) and a place(s). Almost every message should have these 3 points if you are asking for someone. By doing this, people will know before they open your message if they can, or may be able to help. Further, someone browsing the website Archives will not get a hit from what you have in this current subject line. Whether they search Smith, Jones or Adams, it won't get a hit on "Sunbury Census."
