    3. Beverley, I have a John Spafford Barker in my File. He had four sisters, Mary Anne (b. abt 1830) Sarah, Eliza and Caroline. Their parents were Amos Dow Barker (b. 6 June 1805) and Mary Dow. Amos was the great grandson of Planter Jacob Barker and Margaret Tenny, according to the following sources. 1. Cindy L. Bartlett. 2. "The Barker Family Tree", Anon; at PANB, Fredericton, NB, MN-300, MS-20/17. 3. Elizabeth Sewell and Elizabeth Saunders, "The New Brunswick Census of 1851, York County", Kingsclear, York County. His parents were *Judson Barker*( 1861-1925) and *Isobella Bain*(1867-1918) who died three weeks after her son. i recall my grandmother telling me some 50 years ago that there was a tragic story there and I m wondering if anyone can tell me. I ll be thinking of him on Nov 11 as it seems noone else is likely to. But perhaps there were others in the family or someone might know where he was taken down. I ve done PANB, Veterans Affairs and Ancestry so am hoping someone has more personal infomration. -- Beverley Clarkson Sambro Head, Nova Scotia
