Beverley, There is a time period - early 1900s - where bmd records are missing - and it appears that Charles Benjamin BARKER and his Mother's records are not showing online. I think because of the missing records during this time period that it has created a lot of family "mysteries". 1891 census: Grparents, Judson & Ida B.?? as well as Charles William BARKER, http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/databases/census-1891/001081-110.01-e.php?PHPSESSID=jcinrogupp2mcs134tiva2oss3&q1=barker&q2=judson&q3=&q4=&q5=&q6=&q7=&q8=&interval=20 1901 census: Judson & wife Isabella with an 11-year old nephew, Walter Thompson recorded with them. http://www.automatedgenealogy.com/census/View.jsp?id=8562&highlight=31&desc=1901+Census+of+Canada+page+containing+I%3Fbella+Barker 1911 census: Judson & Isabella BARKER (transcribed BARBER) with mother-in-law Margaret THOMPSON?? On the actual record, it appears more that Margaret was a Sister-in-law, born May 1864 (not 1834) age 46 (not 76) - transcribed incorrectly. http://www.automatedgenealogy.com/census11/View.jsp?id=24711&highlight=44&desc=1911+Census+of+Canada+page+containing+Judson+Barber Concerning the War Memorial, it would be interesting to find who had sent in the information on Charle's father and what the source was.
