My experience with Ancestry.com was as follows: I agreed to a one-month free trial, at which time they took my credit card number. A month later, I decided not to renew. I spent 5 weeks trying to cancel, during wich time, they charged two addidional months to my credit card. I called twice a day for 5 weeks before I finally got a human being. They did refund my money, but the aggravation was priceless. I don't know if they still practice business like that or not. It's too bad. There have been a few times when I would like to have joined for a month, knowing I could complete the research I need their services for during that time. I was not giving them my credit card again! Incidentally, in trying to convince me to stay, they did offer me a discount. Best of luck, Lisa Z
