    3. Hi Robin, This is one page I refer to: http://hawkshome.net/misc_items/events/epidemic_timeline.htm I find "timelines" are helpful for finding out about other places / countries, etc. And also for things like epidemics. Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA) FYI: My ancestors, "Calvin" and Mary (WILKINS) KIDDER, lost 3 of their children ~1860. Their 2nd, son, Charles, shortly after his marriage, and then his new wife shortly after that. And their daughter, Mary Ann, at Age 16. I'm guessing they "caught" the Flu. (Always looking for the place of death, and exact date, of their 1st son, John KIDDER. The 1881 census has his family in Deer Island, NB. In 1887, he was reported to have "drowned at sea." Nothing else is known. Between then and 1899, his widow and youngest children moved to Gouldsboro, ME.) (Just a reminder that J. Calvin KIDDER was born in N.B. in Jan. 1799 - one week before his father was killed in a boating accident.)

    3. P.S. I noticed that you are from Lowell. Although I haven't lived there for years, I grew up in No. Reading. My brother still lives there with his wife. Some of their children live in town also.
