Hi List, I am trying to find out who the "Widow Elizabeth LOUNDER" was in the 30 July 1839 Westfield Parish, Kings County marriage to William GIGGY / GIGGEY. Marriage record says that she was from Greenwich Parish, Kings Co. They are on the 1851 Westfield Parish; Elizabeth is age 50 (c1801) and then by the 1861 Census, William has died (1858) and she is now the Widow Elizabeth GIGGY, age 55 (c1805) enumerated in Greenwich Parish. The next person enumerated on the 1861 census is Benjamin LOUNDER, 40, and his wife Catherine. Catherine was Mary Catherine PARKER, daughter of Isaac & Mary Ann (Giggey) PARKER - Mary Ann (Giggey) Parker was the dau/o William GIGGY who had married the Widow LOUNDER. Benjamin LOUNDER's signature was also found in the 1859 Intestate papers of William GIGGY overseeing the inventory. Other researchers have Benjamin LOUNDER as the s/o Thomas & Eleanor ( ) LOUNDER. I've checked his brothers in case they married an Elizabeth and died before 1839 - but nothing. I also checked his sister Elizabeth c1809 but she appears to have married Thomas Morgan NASON and they had children from c1836-1850... so nothing there. I have been searching other LOUNDERS but they all seem to relate back to Thomas & Eleanor. Is anyone familiar with this family and has a fresh perspective on the Widow Elizabeth LOUNDER - oh, and I checked LOUNDEN / LOUDER and nothing. Shirley
