What about Baptist records in general? This is an area I've never been successful in finding anything. I'm particularly interested in Albert County. Has anyone found anything like this in their searching? Kathy Moran -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of S. I had order one for Saint John but there was very little on it. Hello: Local Baptist Records are "few & far between". The best I could find, (although incomplete), are at Acadia University in Wolfville, NS. Any other sources ? - would be most welcome. I always find it disheartening when I trace back to find an ancestor was a Baptist. It is a kiss of death for research as Baptists did/do not record 'vital' records. The records I looked at in Acadia's archives are like journals, I found. Events such as 'Benjamin Cooper was entered into the church on this date.' are sometimes found, but no records of births, marriages or baptisms were to be found. Have you found that perhaps, even though recorded as Baptist, marriages, etc. might be recorded in the local Anglican records, for example? Tis true but you can find some interesting stories and sometimes a death date on the membership list....
