Hi Pat. I'm afraid that I can't respond directly to your query but am wondering if your Gerusha/Jerusha Churchill is related in any way to James C. Churchill (b. 18 Feb 1805, Fredericton, York Co). He married Ruth Ann (Shaw) Fowler on 16 Jun 1847 in Carleton Co. and they had a son named Byron (b. Boston, MA, date unknown). James C. Churchill's father was Lemuel Churchill (b. 20 Feb 1777, place unknown). I have no information about his mother. Could there be a connection?
