Hi Pat, I can't help you with your research, but I can mention that one of my ancestors was arrived in York Co. ~1850, and he was a George WILKINS. (He was George Freeman WILKINS, and his oldest son became known as "Freeman" WILKINS.) George and Mary (NEAL) WILKINS came from Aroostook Co., ME. After Mary's passing ~1870?, George and some of his children returned to Maine. Some of the children remained in York Co. My George was reportedly the youngest of 5 surviving children who lived in Unity, ME, until they moved to Amity, ME ~1831. Their father was Samuel WILKINS, and he is one of my "concrete-block walls." No one knows who his parents were. My "educated guess" is that they were William and Sarah (BANCROFT) WILKINS who had moved from MA to "Maine" around the time of Samuel's birth ~1780. (One note is that I think I saw the WILKINS name recently when I looked at web sites about St. David's first years. I just checked and it was Andrew.) http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nbstdavi/anngrantalpha.html Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA) (I heard that there was an O'NEAL couple in York Co. in 1850's when my George WILKINS moved there, but I also heard that his wife was a NEAL from New Brunswick and there are records showing that.) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pat Holling" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, August 12, 2009 2:33 PM Subject: [ NB ] WILKINS/ CHURCHILL m 1804 York County NB Our Thomas WILKINS & Jerusha CHURCHILL married in York County NB 3 Oct 1804.
