Gerry will be missed by many of us who were in touch with him about our ancestors and descendants in Albert County, NB. ----- Original Message ----- From: Sheila Hannah To: Betty Lumsden Sent: Tuesday, August 25, 2009 10:31 AM Subject: FW: Gerry -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gerard "Gerry" Milton Fullerton 1937-2009 Gerard "Gerry" Milton Fullerton, 72, of Hillsborough passed away suddenly on August 24th, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital. Gerry was born in Newcastle Creek, NB on May 3, 1937 the son of the late Russell and May (Milton) Fullerton. He worked for the CN where his main job was investigating accidents. He attended the Albert Mines Baptist Church. Gerry was the Provincial Grand Master of the Orange Lodge and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 32, Hillsborough. He was very interested in genealogy and spent many hours researching the Fullerton family. He loved nature and enjoyed watching all kinds of animals. Above all things he loved spending time with his family, he will be remembered for his great sense of humour. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother who will live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever. He will be deeply missed by his loving and devoted wife, Linda (Hayes) Fullerton; his son, Deryk Albert Fullerton of Gatineau, Quebec; daughters, Teryl Lee Fullerton (Vernon Hoar) of Riverview, Shanna Lynn Fullerton (Jordan Hewins) of Lemonville, Ontario and special granddaughter, Zaikra Caroline Fullerton whom he and Linda lovingly raised; his cherished grandchildren, Carleen Jessie Fullerton, Kashlyn Dea Fullerton, Shayla Jean Fullerton; sisters, Freda Murphy and Greta Fullerton both of Albert Mines, Audrey Merrill of Riverview and Patricia Brown (Allison) of Moncton; brother, Terry Fullerton (Betty) of Riverview. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters, Jean Glenn, Mildred Lundbohm, Carol Duffy and brother, Gerald Fullerton. He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Albert Mines Baptist Church, Albert Mines on Thursday, August 27th, 2009 at 2:00pm with Rev Jack Allen officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends in the church for further sharing of memories and for refreshments. Interment will be held in the Green Hill Cemetery, Edgett's Landing on Friday, August 28th at 1:00pm all are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you give some time to help tend to your local cemetery or support them with a donation in Gerry's memory. It was very important for Gerry due to the fact of his interest in genealogy that we take care of our cemeteries.
