I'm seeking anything STIVERS so the references you sent are very interesting. I'm attempting to connect the early Stivers individuals of NB. Unfortunately many of them were recorded as STEVES or STEEVES and if you're familiar with NB research you'll know how big a problem that could be! :-(( Cheers, -- Dave > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Dave Naylor > To: [email protected] > Sent: Friday, August 21, 2009 3:58 PM > Subject: [ NB ] STIVERS-MARTIN in NB > > Searching the NB Provincial Archives web site under Guide to Family > Histories for the surname STIVERS results in one hit showing a > reference of "MC1". > > Will someone please let me know what this MC1 represents and how I > can obtain further information about this record for John William > STIVERS and Sarah Ann (MARTIN). 3. MC1 is the manuscript files and contain mostly files made up of mixed items - many gifts from patrons of their research, or transcriptions, etc. Most of them are covered by Robert Fellows compilation of family files at PANB, which I believe is on the net somewhere, but I can't remember where right now. I'm sure someone on the list has the link.
