For years, I have hunted (without success) for the parentage of my 2nd ggparents who were married and lived in East Machias, Maine. Because of the land issue between Maine and New Brunswick in that timeframe, I have wondered if it is possible that they were actually born in New Brunswick. The 1850 U.S. census records show a birthplace of Maine, but who knows how they may have responded to a census taker regarding a birth place in 1819 and one between 1822-1824. Is there an online resource for birth records in New Brunswick for that period of time? I am looking for a Thomas R. Parsons, b. 1819 and a Mary Jane Shean or Shane, b. 1822-1824.
