    3. In a box of old family pictures, I have found three large photos of a horrific train wreck. I have no idea why my family would have them except that my uncle, Hazen Laverty (1894-1986), was a travelling engineer for the CPR. He lived in Brownville Jct. ME and travelled throughout NB in the 1930s and thereafter. Picture #1 shows two smashed engines with a freight car marked Canadian Pacific in the background. Picture #2 shows piles of debris and an engine marked 3546. There is a huge church in the background. Picture #3 shows a man standing on the wreckage and a crane attached to a large item marked Canadian Pacific. There is a crowd of onlookers and what I think are three cabooses beyond the wreckage. As Jay suggested I forwarded this info to the NB Railway museum and also to the CPR archives at archives@cpr.ca I doubt if this is the Centreville accident as there is a huge church in the background (looks like a cathedral). I have scanned the photos and will forward if there is any interest. 3. Thank you but I think this crash involved a car and a train at a level crossing in Centreville, Carleton Co, NB. Will check the cpr archives. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dawn Matheson" <laverty@kos.net> To: <newbrunswick@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, November 04, 2010 5:06 PM Subject: Re: [ NB ] Train accident > In a box of old family pictures, I have found three large photos of a > horrific train wreck.
