    1. [ NB ] William COOK >1861 NB census (wife Elizabeth BOYD)

    3. Hi List, I've found that sometimes records for the 1861 New Brunswick census are missing on ancestry. I'm searching for the family of William S. COOK born c1819 England with wife Elizabeth. They could either be on in Westmorland Co. or Kent Co. They are found on the 1871 Wellington Parish, Kent Co., New Brunswick, but by 1881 were enumerated on Lot 26, Prince Co, PEI. Marriage date & place to William S. Cook unknown. William's wife, Elizabeth BOYD (mdn name found on child's marriage record), was born 1834 and appears to have been the dau/o Adam BOYD & Jane LUTES. She is the right age as their daughter but also Daniel Johnson's NB Newspaper abstracts shows the following: Vital Statistics from New Brunswick Newspapers by Daniel F. Johnson : Volume 50 Number 762 Date December 29, 1879 : County Westmorland : Place Moncton : Newspaper The Times d. Bedeque, P.E.I., 18th inst., of heart disease, age 65, Jane BOYD widow of Adam BOYD. Bedeque was in Lot 26, Prince Co. PEI - which is where William & Elizabeth were by 1881. In Adam BOYD's 1858 Will, his daughter is recorded as Elizabeth Slack(?) so I don't know if she was previously married by then or if I've mistranscribed the name and it should be a middle name?? Her oldest known child was born c1857. Shirley
