    3. 1. Can I attach a file with a photograph? thought I d ask first 2. The photo is of John Currie( 1865-1934), son of Wm Duncan Currie and Charlotte Mckeen of Mactaquac. He was in some war, probably overseas, either between 1883 and 1898 or the early 1900s. He is wearing a plain probably khaki wool uniform with a peaked cap and collar insignia that are shaped roughly like a maple leaf, and a straight row of buttons down the front. He became a well known cook so may have been in that role. After years of searching I have found a breakthrough with his family but the military story remains a mystery. He eventually moved to Boston, then New Hampshire where my family had lost track of him until just this weekend.. Thanks for any help or suggestions. My grandmother remembered that he learned to do professional french cooking, perhaps even in France. -- Beverley Clarkson Sambro Head, Nova Scotia *All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. * * *attributed to Edmund Burke ( 1729-1797) AKA the Father of Modern Conservatism
