    3. Hi, Sue, I think you need to look at how much space is available on your hard drive. You can type hard drive free space into google and find out how to do that. It is different depending on whether you are using Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7. If you are adding pictures to FTM, that uses up a lot of space. You should be removing temporary internet files regularly and defragging your computer. You asked if FTM uses only a certain amount of space. I think that depends on what space is available on your hard drive and FTM space is NOT limited I know a person who has 45,000 names! I was running FTM on a 7 year old computer until recently. For help, ask a child or grandchild. If you don't have one, ask your friends who have computer. Your laptop should have a little door on the side for a CD or DVD. Most importantly be sure to back up all your FTM data immediately so that you don't lose all that hard work and research. I bought a new computer in May and had all my old files moved into it by a computer tech who came to my house. He also installed the latest version of FTM 2011. I am still learning to use that, and it is not as user friendly as my old version 16. Hope this helps.
