I think you will find it to be more user friendly and intuitive than FTM for Mac. As a happy Reunion customer for several years, I have found it to have a very powerful search engine and offers lots of bells and whistles for data input and reporting. As an aside, I will add that Reunion is the BEST piece of software coding I have ever seen in more than 35 years of building and using computer software. No hiccups, crashes or lost data -- it just works as advertised! 3. Since I have always been a Mac person, Reunion has been my companion for many years, without ever experiencing any problem whatsoever. Once you start using Reunion, you subscribe to "Reunion Forum" and friendly Reunion users work to solve all of your problems learning the software. When a rare problem comes up, Reunion asks that you send them your file and they work with it until it's right. They sold off the rights to their Windows version years ago, but the company that bought it has chosen not to continue making or supporting it. I suspect that it was the maker of another genealogy software (FTP?) that bought it to remove competition. Arnold is more than right ... He is right on ... When it comes to recommending that you try Reunion. jim -- Jim Roaix 605 W Shawnee Street Tahlequah OK 74464 918-207-0093 jerx42@hughes.net http://web.me.com/jerx/Neolithic_Sculpture/About_the_Artist.html On 8/20/11 7:58 AM, "AE palmer" <surveyor9999@verizon.net> wrote: >On 19/08/2011 11:04 PM, "Bev Guy" <mbevguy@gmail.com> wrote: > >> Have recently purchased FTM 2011 for Mac for >> use on a different new Apple computer. 3. I also use Reunion for on a Mac and love it. There is also way to put your data on an ipad which is great for travel and/or research trips. mmc
