Sue ... you are NEVER too old to learn something new ... One of my genealogy students was over 85 when he started coming to my classes and could not use a computer. When he died at age 95 he had produced an amazing work on his family history and was very computer savy ... His family are most appreciative of his being introduced to a new life during his senior years .... So, yes you can (and should) try it ... Cheers! J.
