Hi again, After I clicked Send, I remembered I should remind myself of how many John HARRIS' were in N.B. for the 1881 census. There were several born in the 1874 to 1876 timeframe. This is one in York County: John HARRIS M Male English 36 New Brunswick Farmer Church of England Fanney HARRIS M Female English 22 New Brunswick Methodist Johney HARRIS Male English 4 New Brunswick Methodist Judson HARRIS S Male English 4 New Brunswick Methodist Frederick HARRIS S Male English 2 New Brunswick Methodist There is a Sydney HARRIS family in Sunbury County with a young son, John. And, also a Jonathan HARRIS family in this county. There is a Thomas HARRIS family in Westmoreland County. There is a George HARRIS family in Northumberland County. And there is a Thomas HARRIS family in Gloucester County. My fuzzy memory thinks I had found out in past years that John Howard HARRIS came from York County. So, that is possibly his family in St. Mary's. And, it looks like he had a twin-brother, Judson HARRIS. Betty (near Lowell, MA, USA) FYI: My other connection to York County is that my ancestor, George Freeman WILKINS, and his wife, Mary (NEAL) were in Canterbury, York, N.B. between 1860 and 1870's. George, as a widower, and some of their 10 children, returned to Maine by 1880. (I think a WILKINS researcher has the parents of Mary NEAL. I'll have to check my notes.) And, I think there was an O'NEAL family there, but Mary's name was NEAL. From my other posting this morning, George's daughter, Clarissa, married her cousin, Joseph KIDDER, ~1869 in Princeton, ME. And, it is their daughter, "Rilla" who married John Howard HARRIS.
