More pieces... >From Maine Marriage records: Groom's Name: Crawford Howard Groom's Residence: Waterville, ME Bride's Name: Neal Mary Bride's Residence: Waterville, ME Marriage Date: 5 Mar 1919 Certificate: 0 Groom's Name: Crawford Howard Groom's Residence: Waterville, ME Bride's Name: Stevens May Bride's Residence: Waterville, ME Marriage Date: 5 Mar 1919 Certificate: 0 This fits with known info about "May"'s first marriage to Mr. Stevens. The 1919 marriage record that can be viewed, shows additional information that helps make this a NEAR perfect match: Howard Crawford m. May Stevens He was 33, she 23 Oddly, it shows his POB as East Lynn, MA, and hers as Fairfield (ME?) His first marriage, her second (widowed), so surely Florence was adopted? He listed his father as Joseph, also b. Lynn, MA, deceased. His mother listed as Eliza Rounds (or Pounds), also deceased, also b. Lynn, MA. She listed her parents as Harry neal, deceased, of Benton, ME, and Mary Allen, deceased, of Waterville, ME. So, I checked Lynn, MA records, for any Howard Crawford b. @1885. NOTHING! And, aside from 1920 census, nothing that matches, either. So, he MAY have been a bit of a trickster, or was trying to appear as if he was a US Citizen, when, in fact, he may not have yet been so! NOW, if we KNOW who Joseph married, and Eliza was a ROUNDS or POUNDS, and that fits the couple in NB, then I think a stronger case can now be made that your Howard emigrated around 1910 to the US, settling in ME, and died around 1951. and all the other data points previously mentioned.
