On his WWI Draft record, he listed himself born in Canada (so at LEAST MA is wrong, as 1920 would have been the ONLY time he listed himself born in Massachusetts! What is ALSO interesting is Florence b. @1912 according to this 1920 census. If so, she must have either been born to Vira by another husband (Mr. Stevens?), and adopted, OR, born to Howard by a previous wife? Quite puzzling! And, yes, many who said "Canada" when giving POB to enumerators were listed as b. Quebec, and vice versa. The joys of counting on enumerators for accuracy is not one often found!
