Hi Shirley: I found Lazare (Sazar) Leblanc age 32 with wife Nancy on the 1881 census Dalhousie, Restigouche,NB Children were Rose 6, Agness 5, Joseph 4 and Mary 2. Nancy and children births were given as NB. Lazare Leblanc was born the 24 of May 1849 and baptized at Carleton, QC on the 29th. of May. By 1901 census they were living at Restigouche, Bonaventure,QC and were still there in 1911. I have found no death dates for either Lazare or Nancy. I was looking through some of the Droiun records for Carleton and did find a baptism for an Agnes Leblanc, d/o Lazare and Elisabeth Marcoux, in 1875 and a Rose Leblanc 5 Nov 1873, d/o Lazare and Anastasie Marcoux. Was Nancy a nick name for something else? The dates would coincide with the ages on the census records. I will need to go through the baptisms on the Dalhousie film that I have at the FHC but all the readers were in use today. Thanks for any help Elenore At 07:45 AM 5/3/2011, you wrote: >Hi Elenore, > >What do you know abt Nancy - censuses, etc. >Lazare's place & date of death? Hi Elenore, Nancy can (but not always) be a nickname for the English name of Ann(e). Have you been able to trace their children and find where they've been buried? Lazare & Nancy could be buried in the same cemetery as one of them which could lead to a death date, maybe obits and maybe a Quebec death record which might give Nancy's parents. Kind of backwards but sometimes it does work. Shirley
