Greetings, This update is dedicated to Robert H. Fowler, OC, F.C.A.S.I who died 23 August 2011. Bob was part of Course No.20 (Pilots), Pennfield Ridge where he crewed up with Russ Hunter (died 25 May 2011) (Nav.) and Wilf Stanger (Wop/AG). After completion of their course at "the Ridge", Fowler and crew flew a tour of duty overseas with 226 Squadron (48 ops). After the War, Bob did survey flying for Gulf Oil and Spartan Air Service before joining DeHavilland Canada in 1952 as a test pilot - progressing to Chief Engineering Test Pilot. In 1980 he was made a member of Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame. He was also a Fellow of the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute, winner of the Trans Canada McKee Trophy and Officer of the Order of Canada. .
