    3. Hi Jim, I would call the Hodgdon, ME town clerk's office and see if they have Rhoda's death record in their old files. She is last shown on the 1900 Hodgdon, ME census and was also there on the previous censuses. I'm not sure why her death record is not showing on ancestry. There is a 1903 ME death record for a Rhoda Stockford widow of Abraham in Cary ME; residing Hodgdon but her age is given as 65 - error? No parents recorded. Also on ancestry marriage record (Drouin Collection) for Woodstock Parish (Carleton Co, NB), of Abraham Stockford & Rhoda Ann Day "both of the parish of Brighton married by Banns with consent of her Father this twenty first day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five by me Gilbert ? Baptist Minister (signed) Abraham Stockford Rhoda Ann Day In the presence of Job S. Lewis, James Hallett Filed and registered this second day of January 1836 Perhaps there were other Day records that might connect to her such as siblings which might lead you to her parents. I'll check further and get back to you. Shirley

    3. Greetings Shirley ... I have actually been to the offices in both Hodgdon and Houlton (county seat) and I have a copy (somewhere) of that death record, which is hers but the "informant" was way off with her age. I did pull her records from the Drouin Collection. The James HALLETT on the marriage record is the father of Jacob HALLETT who married one of Rhoda's daughters many years later. The LEWIS fellow seems to have no blood connection to the family. There is a possibility that she actually lived in Maine at the time of her marriage, but many people who were under age in Maine went to Canada to get married. My two sets of grandparents did just that, as did my mother and father. 3. The only other entry for the name of Rhoda Day that I have found is in Dan Johnson's work (from book, it should also be online at PANB). #1260 4 Apr 1812 C.G. - d. Tues, ae 46, Mrs. Rhoda w/o Wm. Day, of this city(Saint John) #1409 21 Jul 1813 C.G. - m. same eve. (last eve) James Berry / Miss Elizabeth d/o William Day, all of this city Rhoda is an unusual name. I forget what date your Rhoda married. (My listing of her is just an index with no dates as she was not a person of interest when I took the note.) If it was after the date of Mrs. Rhoda's death, and if your Rhoda is a daughter, she may well moved to Carleton County to stay with relatives ??
